the path

An afternoon of embodied coaching
for women.

Over one spacious afternoon, we’ll use gentle movement, voice, play and reflection to help you reconnect with the you underneath it all.Just bring an open heart, comfy clothes and a willingness to try something a little different. You’ll leave with a clearer sense of what matters now, a few simple practices for meeting wobbly moments, and hopefully a bit more energy, possibility and mischief than you arrived with.Your life may not need an overhaul - you might simply need an afternoon that helps you find your way back into it.

about the workshop

This workshop is designed for women who want to reconnect with their steadiness, clarity, and sense of self. A few hours to get out of your head, back into your body and remember there is more to you than keeping everything going. We'll do some movement practices to soften the body. When we're unsure, we tend to brace, hold ourselves tight, wait for impact. Here we'll unwind that a little. Let the body do what the mind can't quite manage yet. We'll do some vocal work. This is about reclaiming how you express yourself. There are parts of you that have likely been silenced for years. We'll give those parts some room. We'll play a little to loosen up, let our minds and hearts wander beyond the rigid structures we're used to, and into the realm of possibility. And we'll do some reflective work to listen to ourselves. Not the version that's managing everything, but the one underneath that. This is about gathering the pieces we may have forgotten or set down along the way, getting clearer on what matters to you now. You'll leave with a few things in your pocket: a body that feels a little more like home, a clearer sense of what you actually want, and at least one practice you can return to when things get hard.

our why

We can't wait to welcome you!
We built The Path because we wished something like it had existed for us, when we needed it most. We've worked together for years, watched one another face challenges and flourish. Creating this workshop felt like a natural next step, and one of the most joyful things we've done together.
We love hanging out with women who are thoughtful, interested in self-development, and eager to connect to joy. If that sounds like your idea of a good time, you will be so happy and comfortable here.

The Space

We always knew we wanted to find a very special space to hold this workshop, and we found her - this oasis in East Vancouver offers us an inspirational sanctuary to do our work. The moment we stepped inside, we knew this was the place to gather. Inside the co-operative working space - Werklab at 1275 Venables St. Vancouver - is the Zen Den and Studio event space. This is where we will gather to move, sound, play and reflect. The space offers over 1500 square feet with natural light, hardwood floors and soaring ceilings. We have cozy nooks and private spaces with change rooms. We love it and we know you will too!

this is for you if:

  • You're ready to let go of who you "should" be

  • You're longing to rediscover play, connection, and a sense of belonging

  • You're curious about who you are, right now, in this season of life

  • You're willing to listen

  • You're craving something real, not another surface-level fix or promise of "transformation"

  • You're done waiting for the "right time", and you know this is it

Connection and community - the joy of hanging out with a thoughtful and insightful group of women!
You’ll walk away feeling lighter, more energized, more connected, and clearer about what you want.

A Bit About Us

Mattie Shisko
Voice Coach

I love helping people connect with the potential in their voice. I’ve been coaching, teaching, facilitating workshops and giving presentations and keynotes all around the world, about the connection between our voice, body and nervous system. I combine science, art, mindfulness and play to help people speak from their heart.
A lot of my clients are in leadership roles - politicians, TEDx speakers, CEO’s and women in the C-Suite, but underneath what people do, is who they are - a human just wanting to be heard.
What I'm building here with Suzanne - The Path - is not about becoming someone new. It's about coming back to who’s always been there. Your voice. Your breath. The tender parts and the eager parts - all of it - just waiting to be listened to.

Suzanne Hepburn
Life Coach

I work with women who are ready to stop managing their lives from a distance and start actually living them. Through coaching, I help them get quiet enough to hear themselves again -- and brave enough to act on what they find.My background includes 25 years as a Pilates instructor and teacher trainer, years coaching actors, and a coaching practice focused on women navigating the second half of life. What connects all of it is a belief that the body is never separate from the work. It always has something to say. What Mattie and I have built in The Path is the kind of afternoon I would have wanted when I was finding my own way back to myself. I can't wait to share it with you.To learn more about me, visit suzannehepburn.com
